Welcome to PrivyScribe. PrivyScribe is a local-first AI audio note application. The first MVP includes model download, audio recording, local transcription, local AI summarization, and a paid feature that allows users to export transcription content to a local file.

This Privacy Policy explains how Chongqing Yihetong E-commerce Co., Ltd. handles information when you use PrivyScribe.

1. Our Core Principles

• Your recordings, local transcriptions, and local summaries are stored on your device by default.
• Transcription and summarization are performed by local models on your device.
• We do not upload your recordings, transcriptions, or summaries to our servers for AI processing.
• We do not use your recordings, transcriptions, or summaries to train AI models.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not display third-party advertising in the MVP version of PrivyScribe.

2. Information Processed by PrivyScribe

To provide the MVP features, PrivyScribe may process the following information locally on your device:

• Audio recordings, used to generate local transcription text.
• Transcription text, generated locally from your recordings.
• Summary content, generated locally from your transcription text.
• Local export files, created when you use the paid export feature.
• Local model files, used to perform transcription and summarization on your device.

These materials are stored on your device by default. Unless you choose to export, share, back up, or transfer them through your operating system or a third-party application, we do not access or upload this content.

3. Network Use

PrivyScribe may use network access for limited purposes, including:

• Downloading or updating local AI model files.
• Processing purchases, restoring purchases, or verifying paid feature entitlement.
• Checking app or model version information where necessary.

During model downloads, content delivery networks, app stores, payment platforms, or related infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP address, network status, download logs, product identifiers, transaction status, and purchase time. We do not use model download or purchase verification to collect your recordings, transcription text, summaries, or exported files.

4. Device Permissions

PrivyScribe may request the following permissions:

• Microphone permission, used for audio recording.
• File or storage permission, used to store recordings, transcriptions, summaries, local model files, and exported files.
• Network permission, used to download models, process purchases, and restore paid features.

If you deny a permission, the related feature may not work. For example, if microphone permission is denied, PrivyScribe cannot record audio.

5. Paid Feature and Payment Information

The MVP paid feature is exporting transcription content to a local file.

If you purchase this feature through an app store or payment provider, the payment provider may process information such as order ID, product ID, transaction status, and purchase time. Sensitive payment credentials, such as bank card numbers or payment account passwords, are handled by the payment provider. We do not receive complete payment credential information.

6. Sharing of Information

In the MVP version, PrivyScribe does not share your recordings, transcription text, summary content, or exported files with third parties.

Exceptions may apply in the following situations:

• You choose to export, share, copy, back up, or transfer content through system features or third-party apps.
• Disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or lawful government request.
• Limited technical information is processed by app stores, payment providers, or content delivery networks as necessary for purchases, purchase restoration, model downloads, or app distribution.

7. Retention and Deletion

Your recordings, transcription text, summaries, model files, and exported files are stored locally on your device by default.

You may delete this content by:

• Deleting recordings, transcriptions, or summaries within the app where supported.
• Deleting exported files from your device.
• Uninstalling PrivyScribe.
• Clearing app data through your operating system settings.

Uninstalling the app or clearing app data may permanently delete local content. Please back up important content yourself.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, copy, delete, or otherwise control your personal information. Because PrivyScribe primarily stores MVP content locally on your device, you can usually exercise these controls directly within the app or through your device's file and system settings.

9. Children and Minors

PrivyScribe is not specifically directed to children. Minors should use PrivyScribe only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Do not use PrivyScribe to record, store, or share another person's personal information without proper authorization.

10. Recording Compliance Reminder

Audio recording may involve another person's voice, identity, conversation content, privacy, confidential information, or trade secrets. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and obtaining consent where required before recording. You must not use PrivyScribe for illegal recording, eavesdropping, privacy infringement, trade secret leakage, or other unlawful purposes.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we introduce account services, cloud sync, cloud-based AI processing, third-party analytics SDKs, advertising, cloud backup, or other features that materially change how information is handled, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice in an appropriate manner.
