Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Chongqing Yihetong E-commerce Co., Ltd. regarding your use of PrivyScribe. By using PrivyScribe, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Service Description

The MVP version of PrivyScribe provides the following free features:

• Downloading local AI model files.
• Recording audio using your device microphone.
• Generating transcription text locally on your device.
• Generating AI summaries locally on your device.

The MVP paid feature is exporting transcription content to a local file. Specific pricing, payment methods, export formats, and feature availability are subject to what is displayed in the app.

2. Local AI Feature Disclaimer

PrivyScribe uses local AI models to generate transcriptions and summaries. AI-generated output may contain errors, omissions, misunderstandings, inaccurate speaker attribution, or incomplete summaries.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying important content, especially where the content relates to legal, medical, financial, contractual, business, academic, or other significant matters. PrivyScribe output is for reference only and does not constitute professional advice or a final determination of facts.

3. User Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the recordings, transcription text, summaries, and exported files that you create or store using PrivyScribe.

You are solely responsible for:

• The legality of your content.
• Obtaining consent from recording participants where required.
• Avoiding infringement of privacy, confidential information, trade secrets, or third-party rights.
• Backing up, managing, deleting, and protecting your local content.

We do not claim ownership of your user content.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not use PrivyScribe to:

• Conduct illegal recording, eavesdropping, surveillance, or privacy infringement.
• Create, store, or distribute unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, fraudulent, or harmful content.
• Record or disclose confidential meetings, customer information, trade secrets, or sensitive information without authorization.
• Reverse engineer, crack, bypass payment restrictions, interfere with, or damage the normal operation of the app.
• Use the app for any purpose that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

You are responsible for any dispute, complaint, penalty, loss, or liability arising from your use of PrivyScribe.

5. Paid Feature

The MVP paid feature is exporting transcription content to a local file. After purchase, you may export transcription text within the supported scope of the app.

Export format, usage limits, device restrictions, pricing, refund policy, invoices, and purchase restoration may be governed by the rules of the app store or payment provider through which you make the purchase. We do not receive complete payment credential information.

6. Service Changes and Suspension

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue certain features for product iteration, model updates, system compatibility, security, legal compliance, or operational reasons. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the app, release notes, or other appropriate methods.

7. Software and Model Rights

PrivyScribe, including its app software, interface design, code, model integration, trademarks, icons, and related technical materials, is owned by Chongqing Yihetong E-commerce Co., Ltd. or its licensors.

Except as permitted by applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, rent, sell, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit PrivyScribe software or model resources without authorization.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:

• Errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or misunderstandings in AI-generated transcriptions or summaries.
• Local data loss caused by user deletion, app uninstallation, device damage, operating system cleanup, or failure to back up content.
• Disputes or liabilities caused by illegal recording, unauthorized disclosure, or infringement of third-party rights by users.
• Service interruptions caused by network issues, device systems, app stores, payment providers, content delivery networks, or force majeure events.
• Privacy or data security issues after you export, share, copy, back up, or transmit content to third-party platforms or services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, business interruption, data loss, or third-party claims arising from your use of or inability to use PrivyScribe.

If we are found liable under applicable law, our aggregate liability will be limited to the amount you actually paid for the relevant paid feature, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms due to product changes, legal requirements, or operational needs. We will provide notice of material updates in an appropriate manner. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using PrivyScribe. Continued use of PrivyScribe after the update means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of PrivyScribe should first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute may be submitted to a court with competent jurisdiction under applicable law.
