What is PrivyScribe?

PrivyScribe is a local-first AI audio note app. The MVP supports model download, recording, local transcription, local AI summarization, and paid local export of transcription content.

Does PrivyScribe upload my recordings for AI processing?

No. The MVP is designed to process recordings, transcriptions, and summaries on your device by default. We do not upload your recording content to our servers for AI processing.

Why does the app need network access?

Network access may be used to download or update local AI model files, process purchases, restore purchases, or check app and model version information.

Why does the app need microphone permission?

Microphone permission is required for audio recording. If microphone permission is denied, recording will not work.

What is the paid feature?

The MVP paid feature is exporting transcription content to a local file. Recording, local transcription, and local summaries are free MVP features.

How do I restore a purchase?

If you purchased the export feature through an app store, use the restore purchase option in the app where available. If restoration fails, contact us with your device type, app version, and purchase platform.

AI output looks wrong. What should I do?

AI-generated transcription and summary content may contain errors, omissions, or misunderstandings. Please review important content manually before relying on it.
